# コーヒーを撮ろう！カフェの雰囲気を活かす写真と照明のコツ

喫茶店やカフェの柔らかい照明が好きで、雰囲気を真似た写真をよく撮ります。特に、コーヒーの写真を撮る際には照明の使い方が重要で、光と影が作り出す空間が写真全体の雰囲気を左右します。今回は、そんなカフェ空間をより美しく、より印象的に撮影するための照明の活用アイデアをいくつか紹介したいと思います。プロのカメラマンでなくても、少しの工夫で素敵な写真が撮れるヒントが詰まっていますので、ぜひ参考にしてください。
みなさんにも忘れがたいカフェの思い出がないでしょうか。くつろげる座席と控えめな音楽と柔らかい照明。コーヒーを取り巻く環境（アンビエント）には、店の雰囲気を形づくる要素がギュッと詰め込まれています。有名店であればスタッフの行動までブランド体験の一要素と考え様式化しているはずです。
## 撮影テクニック：脚立に登って見下ろすアングルで撮る
かつて入居していたアトリエは天井高が３mあり、奥まで外光が届かない少し暗めの部屋でした。その暗さも気に入って入居を決めたのですが、部屋全体を照らすことをあえてせず、指向性のあるペンダントライトを使ってテーブル上を局所的に照らすようにしていました。これ、カフェっぽいですよね。
このペンダントライトとコーヒーを同時に撮るべく編み出したアングルが、脚立によじ登って撮るやり方です。

ピントがあった窓辺のコーヒーに対してピンボケした照明が対照的です。柔らかい雰囲気のある印象の写真になりました。脚立に登って見下ろすように撮ると、普段は見ることのできない視点からコーヒーと空間を捉えることができます。
## 照明と人物のシルエットを重ねた撮影テクニック
カフェの取材に出向く際、プライバシーに配慮してできるだけ顔が写らないアングルを探すことがあります。ペンダントライトがあればシルエットを重ね、顔が映らない自然な写真を撮ることも可能です。

## 撮影での照明フレアの活用方法
強い光の反射（フレア）で白っぽくなる効果を活かすこともあります。一見シャープさを欠いた失敗カットのようですが、カフェや喫茶店の雰囲気の演出に一役買ってくれています。
暗い室内での撮影には、ISOを高めに設定し、シャッタースピードを少し遅くすることで、自然な明るさを保ちながら、柔らかい光を捉えることができます。
暗い室内の場合、明るすぎるランプが白飛びしてしまうことがあります。下の写真のペンダントライト（写真左上）は、調光可能なコントローラーを使って、できるだけランプの光量を絞り、カメラのシャッタースピードを遅くすることで暗めの室内とランプの明るさをバランスさせています。

## ガラスの写り込みを利用する
窓から望む外の様子もコーヒーを取り巻く環境のひとつと言えそうです。日本庭園でいう借景のアイデアを借りれば、窓ガラスに写り込む照明も美しい風景になります。
## 脚立を使って俯瞰で撮る
取材やリアルな現場では無理のあるアングルですが、脚立を使って真俯瞰から撮れば、既視感のない新鮮な構図を手にいれることができます。
## 極上の喫茶体験を共有したい
長くコーヒーを撮ってきましたが、そう言えば茶色い液体のコーヒーそのものは撮ってないということにある時気づきました。ピントを合わせるのは決まってカップの飲み口や、ドリップするケトルの注ぎ口。コーヒーを撮っているようで実は周辺にフォーカスしてるわけです。
手元にピントを合わせつつ、さらに対象から遠ざかればより広範な室内が写ります。
