# フライトとホテルのコーヒー｜ドリップバッグのすすめ

弓庭さんが客室乗務員として働いてた時の、ホテルとコーヒーの話。コーヒーの有り難みが良くわかるあの話を、今回はお願いします。
当時は月に十泊する時もあって。泊まるホテルは、窓が開かないところも多かったんです。空気が循環しない、すこし息の詰まるような空間が多くて… それを解消するのにコーヒーがとても役立ちました。
### **コーヒーの香りで部屋を満たす**
キーホルダーは、航空業界で「safety pin(フラッグ)」と呼ばれる特別なツールを模したモノ。safety pinは、CAが飛行機のドアを着陸後に通常モードへ切り替える時に使うアイテム
フライトにはいつもコーヒーを淹れる道具を持参してました。コーヒー、小さなポット、琺瑯（ほうろう）製のマグ。ホテルに着いて真っ先に、コーヒーを淹れるんですけど、そのことで部屋の空気がガラッと変わるんですね。コーヒーの香りがネガティブな要素を打ち消してくれるところがあって。
コーヒーの香りがしたら、鬱々として風も通らない部屋が「**ちょっとなんか変わったんじゃない**」みたいな状態になるんです。
### **眠気を誘うアロマのような存在**
ミナペルホネンの特徴的なコーヒーカップ。ミナペルホネンと言えば、その象徴的なタンバリン柄が有名。このカップの持ち手にも、タンバリン柄を連想させるユニークな丸い穴が開いています。穴は少し持ちにくいかもしれませんが、指の細い女性にはちょうど良いサイズ感
ヨーロッパ行きの便だと、仕事が始まってから二十時間は寝ないで起きっぱなしなんですね。本当は部屋に入ってすぐに寝たいんですけど、不思議とコーヒーだけは淹れてました。
ところが、お湯を沸かして、コーヒーを淹れた後、コーヒーの香りがしたことに満足して、そのまま飲まないで寝てた、ということがけっこうあったんです。
眠るためのアロマのような。
まさに、そうなんです。なんだか気になってしまうんですね、あの空気が…
国内ならカフェに行って気分転換もできるんですけど、海外で夜に到着したら、そうもいかないので。だからとりあえずコーヒーを淹れて薫らす… 香りで部屋を満たすというのが目的で、コーヒーを淹れてました。
やっぱり香りですか、コーヒーは。
**香りで部屋を満たす**ことが、実は普段からコーヒーを淹れる目的の半分以上を占めたりします。
ブラックコーヒーのお供。口に頬張るとほろほろと崩れるような食感のスノーボール。コーヒーと相性ぴったりです
五感で楽しむ
**「何から手をつけていいかわからない」と感じた時、まず試してほしいのが、空間を「五感で楽しむ」アプローチ。**
**客室乗務員だった頃、私がホテルに着いてまずしていたのは、コーヒーを「飲む」こと以上に、その「香り」で部屋を満たすことでした。コーヒーの香りが、無機質だった空間を、安心してくつろげる「私の場所」に変えてくれたのです。**
**インテリアを大きく変えなくても、好きな香りを焚いたり、心地よい音楽を流したりするだけで、空間の印象は驚くほど変わります。まずは自分の好きな「感覚」から、理想の空間づくりを始めてみませんか。**
